I mean, first off, let’s just hope this thing doesn’t turn into some weird, unplayable mess like that one WWE game… you know, the one on the original Switch. Who remembers that? Totally clunky. Anyway, WWE is gearing up to bring the smackdown — yeah, I went there — to the Switch 2 in a couple of weeks.
So, here’s the scoop, or part of it, at least. Preorders just dropped for this WWE bonanza. It’s the first one on Nintendo since, like, forever ago in 2017. And WWE 2K25 is rolling out on July 23. Mark those calendars, or don’t, I’m not the boss of you. But seriously, we’ve got three versions up for grabs. The standard’s gonna set you back $69.99. Then there’s the $99.99 “Deadman” edition with everyone’s favorite Hall of Famer, The Undertaker. That sounds kind of epic, right?
Oh, but wait — there’s even more. There’s this $129.99 “Bloodline” edition, which is all about Roman Reigns and his crew, the “Bloodline.” They’ve kind of been running the WWE show for the last few years. Or trying to. Depends on who you ask, really.
Here’s where it gets wild: over 300 competitors! All that action from Raw, Smackdown, and NXT in one game? Seriously, it’s like they crammed the entire WWE universe into a little cartridge. And there’s this new “Island” mode… whatever that means. Sounds intriguing, doesn’t it? Or not. Maybe it’s just a gimmick. Who knows? We’ll find out soon enough.
