You know that feeling when you open the fridge and… forget why you even did? That’s kinda how this week’s Nintendo eShop update hit me. There’s this whole platter of new games for the Nintendo Switch and the shiny new Nintendo Switch 2. Oh, and crazy discounts too, like a buffet where you can’t possibly try everything. Maybe I just got distracted by the neon lights of the eShop or something.

Okay, big newsflash! Discounts galore. Seriously, it’s like they raided the sale bin and dumped it all online. Have a peek at the full markdown madness if you dare — or, I mean, if you want to save money.

Fresh Goodies for Nintendo Switch 2

What did they line up for the Switch 2? Oh boy, hold onto your controllers:

• Drag X Drive — zoom, whoosh, more like an adrenaline rush than a game.
• EA Sports Madden NFL 26 — you’re either a fan or… well, you’re not.

New Nintendo Switch Games This Week

Now, shifting gears to the OG Switch. There’s enough here to keep a gamer busy till the next millennium. Or at least till next month’s update. And they’re rolling out on different days, so it’s like a prolonged Christmas morning.

• 1989 After the War — Drops Friday, August 15. Guessing it’s retro? Maybe gritty? I’m intrigued.
• Bendy: Lone Wolf — Also this Friday. Hope it’s not as lonely as it sounds.
• Bubble Wizard IV Saga — Bubbles or wizards? Both? Sign me up.

And more – like seriously, deep breath needed:

• Bunkers 1944 FPS — Set for Friday, gripping wartime action incoming!
• Camp Life: Wilderness Survival 2025 — Because why not throw "2025" in there? Future wilderness?
• Cats in Cozy Rooms — Also Friday, who doesn’t want cozy cats?
• CORE.SYS — Hitting on Wednesday, August 20, techno vibes maybe?

Too many to list, really. But I’ll just say names like Demons Are Coming! and Discounty (arriving on staggered days) kinda sound like opposite ends of a spectrum. Think chaos meets clearance sale.

Then there’s stuff like DUCK: Dangerous Ultimate Cartridge Kidnapper. No idea what to make of that — sounds intense.

Wrapping up with some classics, hordes of new curiosities, and a hodgepodge that includes a jungle frog tutorial — yes, you read that right.

It’s a mixed bag of nostalgia, novelties, and some good ol’ gaming chaos. Maybe it’s intentional, or maybe it’s just me trying to make sense of it all. Who knows? Anyway — no, wait — yeah, back on track, happy gaming!
