Oh boy, where do I even start? It’s Switch 2 launch day, and if you’re itching to hold one, fingers crossed you locked in a pre-order way back when. April, I think it was? Could be wrong, though. Memory’s fuzzy. Anyway, if you didn’t, you might be in for a world of disappointment since these bad boys are hotter than pancakes on a cold morning. Yeah, that popular.
So, what’s new? Well, the Switch 2 is like the original’s cooler, bigger sibling. Seriously. It’s literally bigger with larger Joy-Cons, a snazzy new dock, and some redesigned kickstand doohickey. Bigger isn’t always better, but in this case, it kind of is.
The screen — oh, the screen! It’s 7.9 inches across, which is a quirky size if you ask me, and 13.9 mm thick. Because numbers matter, right? It has a 1080p resolution. The old one had 720p, so this is a leg up. And if you’re wondering, dock it for up to 4K gaming magic. Not that I’ve tried it. Yet.
And hey, if handheld’s your style, it can hit up to 120 frames per second with HDR, but that’s game-dependent. Sometimes technology feels like wizardry. Or is it just clever marketing? Ha!
Oh, before I wander off-track, you can snag one solo or bundled with my pal Mario Kart, or some other gizmos. Not much of a Mario Kart fan myself, but to each their own. Just peek back often for price updates and stock alerts, yeah?
So where can you snap one up? Think Walmart, GameStop, Newegg, and all those usual suspects. Best Buy and Target too. Gotta love the hunt, right?
