Sure thing, let’s dive in.

So, here’s the deal. They just announced Troy Baker is gonna be the voice of Jack Pepper in this funky game called “Mouse: P.I. for Hire”. This news kinda dropped alongside a flashy new trailer at the Summer Game Fest 2025. Yeah, it’s one of those noir detective stories with a twist, but, more on that later.
Picture this for a sec: a noir-style first-person shooter inspired by those old 1930s Mickey Mouse cartoons. It’s kinda kooky, right? Anyway, developed by this Polish crew, Fumi Games. They teased it before under a vague name, “Mouse”, but now they’re showing the real goods. Oh, and that was back in August 2024 if I remember correct—can’t keep track of time these days.
Now, Fumi Games and their Aussie buddies at PlaySide Studios dropped this juicy tidbit about Troy Baker during the big festival. Jack Pepper, the detective, gets tangled up in some classic damsel-in-distress shenanigans in Mouseburg. Sounds gritty, eh?
Okay, swinging back. “Mouse: P.I. for Hire” might look all detective-y, but it’s gonna play like a legit FPS. They’re throwing in a bunch of oddball weapons and snazzy upgrades. And check this—everything’s wrapped up in 1930s animation vibes. Plus, the music’s jazzed up like from that same time. Pretty neat if you ask me.
Now, Troy’s all over 2025 with games. Besides this, he’s also this gym dude Kristof in “Date Everything”—go figure, right? That’s dropping June 17. And oh, he’s back as Higgs Monaghan in “Death Stranding 2: On the Beach”, coming June 26. But yeah, “Mouse: P.I. for Hire”, no date just yet. If they stick to their plan, might hear more late summer or early fall. Fingers crossed!
They’re cooking this up for a bunch of platforms like Switch 2, PS4/5, Xbox, and PC. Fumi’s first step into the big pond with this one. Meanwhile, they’ve got another gig, “Galaxi Taxi”, with all kinds of alien shoot-’em-up madness. But neither game has prices slapped on ’em yet.
Anyway, wherever this all lands, it’s quite the lineup. I’m curious, are you hyped or just tagging along to see what happens?
