Aw man, Summer Game Fest kicked off with a bang! Arc Raiders fans were on the edge of their seats, hoping for some big news. Seriously, after the second Tech Test wrapped up in May, players couldn’t get enough. It’s like the game hooked everyone with its charm—kind of like how I can’t stop listening to that one catchy song from the 90s. You know the one.
I swear, some folks wanted the game out yesterday. It was that polished! But nope, no surprise release today. Instead, we got a release date. Hang tight ’til October 30, 2025. Mark it on your calendars, folks. It’s landing on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. I guess it gives me time to clear my gaming backlog—or pretend I will.
Anyway, there was some chatter about another beta popping up soon. Spoiler: Not happening just yet. I feel for those who missed Tech Test 2. Watching others play while you’re sidelined? Pure agony. Like wanting cake and getting a picture of it instead. Ugh.
Everyone can chill a bit now, though. The game’s on the horizon. And hey, it’s an updated build, so I’m curious how it’ll evolve. Not that it needed much, mind you. Arc Raiders has this old-school PUBG vibe. Nostalgia, right?
Fun fact: Embark, the developer, has a thing with Geoff Keighley. They go way back to when Arc Raiders was announced as a co-op gig at The Game Awards in 2021. The Finals, another of their babies, just showed up one December like an unexpected snowstorm at The Game Awards 2023. So you bet people were glued to this Fest for some juicy Arc Raiders tidbits.
And there you have it. Sometimes waiting’s the hardest part, but hey, good things, right?
