From the New Year, New Age showcase to the crowning of champions at Red Bull Wololo: El Reinado, from connecting at Gamescom to celebrating the launches of Age of Mythology: Retold and Age of Empires Mobile, we’ve truly come a long way. We welcomed over 10 million new players this year, pushing us to an astounding 60 million Age of Empires players worldwide.

Launching on March 4th is the much-anticipated Immortal Pillars expansion for Age of Mythology: Retold, which we previously hinted at during Tokyo Game Show. Pre-orders are now available, and this expansion promises to deliver fresh content including the Chinese pantheon, new maps, myth units, and gameplay features that will surely excite players. Don’t miss out on the highlights we’re revealing!

In a thrilling expansion of platforms, Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and Age of Mythology: Retold are coming to PlayStation 5! We’re committed to fostering a diverse gaming community, and opening up cross-platform play is a huge step toward that. It’s not just about playing wherever you prefer—it’s about building a stronger global Age community. Cross-play connects every player, every empire, and every strategy on one battlefield.

Age of Mythology: Retold will make its PlayStation 5 debut on March 4th, coinciding with the glorious release of the Immortal Pillars expansion. New myths, cultures, and players are coming aboard, and PS5 players can immerse themselves in all the content available on Xbox and PC. PS5 players can preorder the Immortal Pillars expansion for an even richer game experience with the all-new Chinese pantheon.

PlayStation 5 players can enjoy early access to new expansions with perks like the Premium Edition. Secure 5-day early access from February 27th and take advantage of exclusive Arena of the Gods blessings.

Every platform, including Steam, Windows Store, Xbox, and PlayStation 5, will receive game updates simultaneously from March 4th onwards, ensuring a unified gaming experience.

Spring will also see the beloved Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition set foot on the PlayStation 5. This move is accompanied by one of the most enthralling DLC expansions for Age II: DE, featuring fresh content and civilizations for Ranked play, accessible to all across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 5 platforms.

We’re keeping some elements under wraps, but here’s a taste of what’s coming up. Players on any platform can join forces, confront rivals, and revel in the Age of Empires and Age of Mythology experience together.

There’s more news for Age of Empires IV. We’re rolling out not one but two DLCs in 2025! Driven by your feedback, we’re expanding on concepts like variant civilizations. These changes bring a fresh perspective to the game by introducing diverse strategies and military tactics realized by history’s various forces. As exciting as these variants are, we’re also rolling out new units and buildings, with many visuals revamped for clarity, ensuring the game feels new and dynamic. The DLCs will introduce unique game modes that promise shorter, repeatable experiences. These modes encourage fresh playstyles, hones your skills, and continually test your strategies.

One DLC, Knights of Cross and Rose, is launching this spring, poised to inject new energy into the Age IV community. Challenge yourself with two new armies inspired by history and try out a solo mode that’ll keep even the best strategists on their toes. Stay tuned for a deeper look, as the team can’t wait to show you what’s brewing!

Age of Empires Mobile burst onto the scene just four months ago, capturing the hearts of players around the world and introducing newcomers to our community. Players led famed heroes like Boudica and Lu Bu to victory amid exciting events like the Halloween mayhem and the Mightiest Empire contest.

In February, players can look forward to new events and features designed to enrich gameplay:

– Battle of Dawn is an unfolding campaign in a legendary temple, with temple relic transport and class skills. The adventure spans four stages, ending in cross-server combat—anticipate a thrilling journey ahead.
