Yeah, so, let’s talk about this game. Death Stranding 2, right? Honestly, I can’t believe they brought a “battle guitar” into play. I mean, really, out of all things, a guitar? It’s wild! But also kinda fitting, if you think about it. Anyway, you might have caught a glimpse of this thing in the trailers already—Higgs, from the first game, strutting his stuff with it. Totally rocked that sci-fi vibe.
Oh, and speaking of Higgs, he’s back. Did anyone else think he was gone for good? Guess not. So, mark your calendars because June 26 is the day this whole extravaganza drops on the PlayStation 5. We’ll be back lugging around stuff as Sam, trying to patch up a broken world or whatever.
Now, get this—just ahead of launch, the game got an “M for Mature” from ESRB. Makes sense, considering Sam will be brawling with humans, robots, and, wait for it, ghostly things. Hideo Kojima wasn’t kidding about upping the combat game. But the real kicker is that little description that casually mentions our funky new weapon.
Seriously, a guitar that fights? Yeah, I’m still stuck on that. It’s electric, literally. The trailer shows Higgs jamming out before taking on a robot with a samurai sword—who thinks this stuff up? But, hey, if it’s in the game, it’s ours for the taking, right? Assuming we figure out how to snag it from Higgs. Maybe there’s this big boss battle where we swipe it. Or, who knows, maybe we even play as Higgs at some point. Not ruling anything out just yet.
Anyway, before I tangent more—hold up, Kojima himself is gonna make an appearance at the Summer Game Fest 2025. Yep, you heard right. Plus, there’s a Death Stranding 2 livestream on June 8 with guests and live gameplay. Fingers crossed we get more guitar action, but who’s to say? It’s gonna be a trip diving back into that crazy world.
