Sure thing!
So, here’s the thing. Samsung, yep, they’re probably gearing up for this monumental, galactic-scale investment in the US. Why? Because President Trump let the cat out of the bag during one of those talks about trade deals with South Korea. Pretty wild, right?
Samsung and Its Big US Move – Probably About to Make Electronics in the States
Alright, so the Trump administration’s all about pinning down trade deals with India, Japan, South Korea, you name it. And a big, juicy part of that? It’s coaxing foreign businesses to throw money at the US. You know, since Trump took over, major players like Apple, TSMC, and SoftBank have been hollering about "multi-billion" dollar setups in the US like it’s the latest trend. And guess who might hop on next? Samsung. Yep, according to The Korea Herald, Uncle Sam (a.k.a. Trump) thinks Samsung’s gonna ink a deal soon.
"I heard Samsung is on it. Tariffs are pushing them to build these mega facilities in America. No tariffs, and maybe they wouldn’t have bothered. Even Samsung, despite not being directly named, announced this big ol’ plant. Just to dodge tariffs, I’d bet."
Funny how it goes, right? Seems like the Trump folks only give sweet deals to companies ready to splash big bucks on US soil. And with Samsung, here’s the scoop. They’re already set to beef up facilities in Austin, Texas, plans to whip up 10,000 jobs. Oh, and they’ve got a gig going on in Taylor, Texas. Supposedly, it’ll be up and running by the end of 2027, making super-duper nodes like the 2nm—a tech treat that everyone’s drooling over, including NVIDIA.
And here’s a pic, in case you’re the visual type!
Now, Samsung’s got their finger in shifting some appliance and TV production elsewhere, as they casually slipped out in recent earnings. But a tariff deal might just be the ticket for this shift. We should hear something official once Trump nails down that South Korea trade thing. Could be next week. I know, not the most riveting timeline, but, c’est la vie!
Anyway, where was I? Oh right, the whole Samsung-US mash-up. Could be big. Fingers crossed!
