Okay, here we go. So, apparently, Epic Games threw out a hotfix for Fortnite, like, right away. They were all, “Yeah, this won’t happen again,” kinda like a promise nobody believes. Anyway, now they’re creating boundaries or something for VAIder—I guess that’s what players call this AI version of a Jedi Knight. And, well, people are just seeing what other weird stuff they can make him say.
And get this: LoserFruit, one of those big-name Fortnite streamers, did something hilarious. She’s also got one of those skins in the game. In this video that blew up, she asked Darth Vader, “What freaking food is that?” And the AI Vader comes back with, “Freaking. Fucking. Such vulgarity,” basically telling her she talks like a thug. I mean, the way AI chooses to be all proper and stuff—why is that the funniest thing?
But then things got dicey. There was a moment AI Darth dropped a homophobic slur. Epic was quick to say, “Hey, that was about some carcinogens.” I mean, talk about weird context. They fixed it fast though.
And the lighter side? Oh yes, Darth saying “Skibidi Toilets”? I can’t even. It’s apparently less of a big deal to Epic, Disney, and those who love James Earl Jones.
And if you’re wondering how folks are pushing the boundaries, players are using tricks like those old Bart Simpson prank calls. Picture Vader saying something like “Dixie Normus,” and you can’t help but chuckle—maybe it’s juvenile, but still kinda funny in this context.
Epic kinda laid down the law about guidelines—if you’re under 13 or whatever age matches your country’s digital laws, you gotta get a green light from the parents to chat with Vader. They’ll even see a little message in-game.
They also added that if you keep trying to mess with Vader and break their rules, he might just up and leave the squad. You can’t recruit him again right away. Sorry, not sorry?
At least for now, there’s this kinda cat-and-mouse showdown with AI Vader running amok. As long as there are no slurs, enjoy the nonsense and see just how silly people can get making a Sith Lord say the darndest things.
