PowerWash Simulator has managed to capture the hearts of many players, offering a strangely soothing experience as they tackle filthy environments with a trusty pressure washer. The game’s unique appeal has even inspired collaborations with cultural icons such as Warhammer 40,000 and Tomb Raider. Recently, developer FuturLab revealed that a sequel is on the horizon. This follow-up promises enhanced graphics, an intriguing new campaign, and a variety of fresh cleaning gadgets to play with, all set to launch later this year across PlayStation, PC, and Xbox platforms.
In a brief teaser trailer released by FuturLab, there wasn’t much revealed about new features yet, but fans can rest assured that the beloved spray mechanics will make a return. One highlight that has many buzzing with anticipation is the inclusion of split-screen multiplayer. This means players can now enjoy cleaning duties together, whether they’re sitting on the same couch or connecting online.
Dan Chequer, FuturLab’s Design Director, shared in a press release that the original game was centered around the sheer joy of transforming mess into cleanliness. For PowerWash Simulator 2, the aim is to amplify that gratification by introducing new tools, added features, and various quality of life improvements for players.
Gamers will have the chance to dive deeper into the world of Muckingham, the setting from the first game, and venture into new areas like Sponge Valley, Power Falls, and Lubri City. The developers have also teased enhancements like more potent soap options, the ability to share campaign progress in online modes, and a customizable home base. Although a specific release date hasn’t been shared yet, fans can expect more details to emerge in April.
