Oh man, guess what? Borderlands 4 – yeah, you heard that right – is dropping sooner than we thought! Why? According to Pitchford (you know, Randy Pitchford), they just figure it’s ready. Like, totally good to go. And honestly, they’re not sweating over competitors’ launch dates or anything like that. At least, that’s what they’re saying. Maybe a bit bold, or maybe they’re onto something brilliant. Who can say?
Weirdly, it’s like they’ve got this whole zen confidence thing going on. They’re like, “Let’s get this game out there and hear what folks think.” Doesn’t hurt to get some feedback ASAP, right? I mean, once the game’s out, the clock’s ticking, and the real work begins – think patches, new cool stuff. You know the drill if you’ve been in the gamer’s circle for more than a minute.
And then there’s more! Gearbox is doing this massive showcase – State of Play, they call it – on Thursday. Set your watches: 5 p.m. ET. They promise all sorts of goodies, like missions, weapons (because Borderlands without epic guns is like a pizza without cheese – just wrong), and sneak peeks into who’s who in the character lineup. Nostalgia trip with returning faces? Count me in.
So, anyway – hype train’s rolling, and maybe we’ll see if this is all talk or the real deal. Who knows, right? Let’s tune in.
