Man, where do I even start? So there’s this game, "Children of Morta" — ever heard of it? It’s one of those PS4 action role-playing games that somehow sneaks into your thoughts when you’re supposed to be focusing on other stuff. Anyway, they’re practically giving it away for $4.39 (thank you, PS Store sale). I don’t even know why I clicked on it, but here we are. This game is playable on PS5 too, which is a nice plus if you’ve jumped on that bandwagon.
Okay, so here’s the deal — or what I think is the deal. The price drop is part of some ‘July Savings’ thing for 2025. Wait, did I say that right? Yeah, the game’s from 2019, but who’s keeping track? Anyway, it’s from these guys at Dead Mage and 11 Bit Studios.
Oh, and if you’re into DLCs (who isn’t nowadays?), there are these nifty little add-ons. Ancient Spirits is like, dirt cheap, or almost. I mean $1.74 if you have PS Plus, $1.99 if you don’t. And there’s Paws and Claws — super cheap too, less than a buck either way. Honestly, I’ve seen overpriced gum that costs more.
I read somewhere that getting the whole package, or the ‘complete edition’ as they call it, usually sets you back $26.99. So, if you’re seeing this deal and it’s before July 17, it’s like the universe wants you to snag it. Or maybe the universe is just really into bargain hunting.
Now, the Bergson family… sounds like a sitcom, right? Seven playable characters, each with a personality that could probably star in its own show. The “official” blurb talks about fighting ancient evil and corruption spreading — typical hero stuff. Not that I’m dissing it. Who doesn’t love a good family vs. ancient evil storyline?
And hey, if you’re not a lone wolf, you can dive into local co-op. There’s even a Family Trials mode, which isn’t the main game but brings its own chaos, objectives, and stuff. Keeps things interesting, if you ask me.
So, bottom line? If you’ve got a few bucks and a PS4 or PS5 gathering dust, this is one heck of a distraction. Or maybe a life-changing experience. Or maybe just a way to procrastinate. Who knows. Grab it before you forget!
