Intel still has a few tricks up its sleeve with the Battlemage GPUs—there’s a buzz about a new one dropping soon. Could shake things up where GPUs are concerned.
I hear Intel’s Arc B770 is already cooking, and rumor has it we might spot it in the wild next quarter. Honestly, Intel’s not exactly sprinting like AMD or NVIDIA with these releases, but they’re hanging in there. Back in late ’24, they tossed the Arc B570 and B580 into the ring—not gonna lie, they held up okay against what was out there. But now, AMD’s got the RX 9060 and NVIDIA’s flaunting RTX 5060, and Intel? Crickets—until now, maybe. Heard from Gazlog, this Japanese tech gossip spot, that Intel’s tinkering with something called the “BMG-G31″—likely our new Arc B770.
Apparently, some shipping lists leaked this scoop a while back. The BMG-G31 chips were spotted en route to Intel’s digs in Vietnam. Seems like they’re gearing up for a surprise launch. Intel Vietnam handles the Limited Editions, so we might not have to wait long. Something about the BMG-G31 being used for the big guns hints it could be the Arc B770. Makes sense, right? The B5XX line is probably done for now.
Spotted a pic by OneRaichu talking Intel shop, and they’re betting on the B770 making an entrance soon. There’s this vibe that it’s gonna rock, but who can say until it’s here, y’know? Heard whispers of around 24-32 Xe2 cores, 256-bit memory bus, and 16 GB of GDDR6. Yet, this silicon might turn up in some AI stuff, so it’s still a bit of a mystery.
We might hear more around Computex 2025—it’s right around the corner. We’ll be all over it, boots on the ground. Maybe Intel’s lining up a surprise for us Battlemage fans. Let’s see how this plays out with Team Blue. Stay tuned.
