Harvest Moon, huh? I remember stumbling across this game one night after way too much scrolling. Anyway, if you’re into cozy, slightly quirky, virtual farming, there’s this new bundle of Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley and Skytree Village hitting the Nintendo Switch soon. I think it’s sometime late this month? Don’t quote me on that, though. Let’s dig into this madness.
So, both these games… yeah, they’re from the Nintendo 3DS days. Nostalgia, am I right? All this downloadable jazz you might have heard of—from adorable outfits to crops and quirky characters—is included. Like a big, cozy digital hug. Maybe.
Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley Overview
Let’s talk about The Lost Valley first. Back in 2014, we were graced with this on the Nintendo 3DS. Picture this: you’re hiking through some mountains—I always get sidetracked thinking about the cold—and then, bam! A snowstorm hits. Suddenly, you hear a voice (creepy or comforting?) and find a cozy nook. When you wake up, you’ve apparently befriended a Harvest Sprite stuck under some snow. Oh, and all the seasons are gone, except winter. Because why not? So, now it’s your job to bring back spring, summer, and all those other not-so-chill seasons. You’re not alone; you’ve got the villagers, Sprites, a Harvest Goddess, and even some Underworld King on your side.
You get to choose if you want to be a guy or a gal, start a family, grow crops, and—I don’t know—chase chickens? It’s fully 3D, you can dig, stack, and just… do your thing. And yeah, bond with these villagers like you’re in a whimsical rural soap opera.
Harvest Moon: Skytree Village Overview
And now, onto Skytree Village. Came out in 2016. Picture this oasis, all green and lush, and then oops—the Harvest Goddess needs a vacation, and poof! The place turns into a dry desert. Your job is to revive these mystical Skytrees. Sounds simple enough, right?
There’s this town full of interesting folks. You could lose hours chatting with them. Terraforming—yeah, that’s a thing. Shape your land however you fancy. And hey, you can choose your character’s gender, marry, and raise little virtual humans. There are new crops, flowers, even a fancy fishing setup that lets you expand waterways. Fishing—a personal favorite, if I’m being honest.
This whole shebang is dropping both in physical stores and digitally on the Nintendo eShop worldwide on, let me check—31st July 2025. Yeah, you read that right. Not that I understand years anymore.
Anyway, I could ramble on, but there’s a trailer out there, somewhere. Go check it out if you want more moving visuals and catchy tunes. Or don’t. Up to you.
Wandering thoughts, unfinished ideas, and virtual farming chaos—all yours to explore.
