ASRock’s exciting new Radeon RX 9070 series graphics cards have made a surprise appearance online, showcasing the upcoming Steel Legend and Taichi custom models with an elegant flair.
It looks like ASRock is gearing up to expand their lineup with AMD’s RDNA 4 GPUs, spotlighting the Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT. While we’re still waiting for “official” images from other partners, ASRock has taken the lead, revealing pictures of three distinct models: Steel Legend, Taichi, and Challenger. Kicking off with the Taichi series, this model is set to be ASRock’s flagship, boasting a sleek triple-fan setup and a robust heatsink, necessitating a three-slot design.
What’s particularly captivating about ASRock’s Taichi variant is the inclusion of a 12V-2×6 power connector. Not every model will sport this feature, as AMD has given partners the flexibility to decide based on the power needs. This connector supports up to a whopping 600W power delivery, indicating that the Taichi model is primed for impressive performance and overclocking ability.
Moving on to the Steel Legend version, it emerges as ASRock’s mid-range contender, available in striking white and silver tones. This variant sports a 2.5-slot triple-fan design but opts for a more conventional 2x 8-pin power connection, which is a standard choice across AMD’s partner models, sparing only the premium ends like the Taichi series.
As for when these beauties will be hitting store shelves, the buzz is that they’ll be available potentially as soon as next week. That’s when AMD is said to be kicking off pre-orders for its RX 9070 series GPUs, so keep your eyes peeled!
